Ave Maria by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and Charles Gounod (1818-1893)
Based on the Prelude No. 1 in C major (BWV 846) from “The Well-Tempered Clavier” with a melody by the French Romantic composer Charles Gounod.
Here are two versions.
One is written for flute and guitar. Of course you can use any other instrument.
The other one is for voice and guitar. The voice part is written in F major, while the guitar part is in C.
I didn’t want to transpose the guitar part because it would have changed the voicings, so I decided to use a Capo in the 5th fret.
The guitar voice is nearly the same as the original prelude except for the inserted bar 23 wich is missing in the original composition.
